I've been wanting to use this fabric for ages - long before I was even pregnant I think. I love the cowgirls - girly and kitchy at the same time.
It took me forever to complete it though - which is very frustrating as it's such a simple pattern (Burda Ensemble 9650.) It wasn't that it was too complicated for me - I think if I'd had a few hours dedicated time I could have done it start to finish. But it's so rare for me to get that block of time to myself - actually so rare I don't think it's happened since Maya was born! So I ended up doing it piece meal - cutting out one day, pinning together another, then sewing over several days, in between pressing and finishing. In the end I just left the sewing machine out on the dining room table for about 4 days so that I didn't lose those few precious minutes of sewing time getting it out and putting it away!
But I really love the end result and can't wait for the weather to get warm so that Maya can wear it. I'm going to make a romper from the same pattern pack and I've got some lovely blue and yellow ditsy fabric which I'm just itching to do something with.
It's Mother's day on Sunday so I'm hoping for a few uninterrupted hours just me and my sewing machine - we can dream can't we? Happy Mother's day to all of you out there.

In plain English, he means Uncle Sam will get stuck with the debt when banks blow up. The fact that happened in the recent cycle is a major cause of the rising debt that seems so alarming to those who demand immediate cuts in spending totally unrelated to the financial crisis.
