Also Loving!

I found a link - (via angry chicken) to a bakery in portland (bit far of a commute from Manchester, England!) who do some fab cakes.  I'm really loving the cupcakes and the big ones with the fancy icing - I wonder if I could run up something similar? 

I was pretty pleased with my Christmas cake decorating at Christmas so perhaps i could run to something like this?  maybe, possibly - or am I completely getting ahead of myself?  It's Cole's birthday but I think he has his heart set on a supermarket bought Transformers cake!  It's my brother's birthday next week but I don't think he's much of a cake guy.  Maybe I'll just have to have a go myself just for the hell of it?  (I'm wondering where I'm supposed to get all this time from?)  I'm just feeling so busy and hectic in my head that I've a real urge to make something NOW. I'm 2/3rds through knitting a cardigan for myself and I'm also in the middle of making another cushion cover but I feel in the mood to make something that is pretty instant.  I need some instant gratfication.  I quite fancy a few hours comfort baking this weekend.
