I feel this blog's been pretty neglected lately-left to gather dust in a corner, unloved and unupdated. So no more! I will post more regularly. I will I will I will. And to prove it here is my first in a while - but it does take me a lot longer to complete things these days (excuses I know - Next I'll be claiming my dog ate it.)
I've been doing a lot of knitting - mainly because it's portable requires no prep, getting out or clearing up afterwards. Sewing has been relegated to rare as hen's teeth afternoons when John takes Maya out. Like I said, rare.
But I have completed a few knitting projects (and taught myself to follow a crochet pattern) that I'm proud enough of to show off. So here's the first - It's called Flourish by Erika Knight from Rowan's knitting & crochet magazine no 47. I fell in love with their new(ish) revive yarn which is made from recycling fibres. Lovely colours (but not cheap.)
It was super easy to make but I think I should have done size down as it was just a bit too shapeless. So I attached an I cord to the back to give it (and me) at bit of a waist.
I'll be back with more soon I promise
